To our Valued Clients,

Update Brown Marmorated Stink Bug

DAWR are enforcing the methodology introduced in July 2018. Fumigators and facilitators are unable to stack containers on a fumigation pad post treatment. This has drastically reduced our treatment capacity to 20 TEU each day. We have made contact with DAWR and have requested an urgent meeting to express our concerns. Meeting is to make DAWR aware this restriction has had an enormous effect in facilitating the BMSB fumigation treatment, and as a result has caused ANJ and our client’s significant delays. ANJ were told today the appropriate contacts in Canberra are aware and they are scheduling a meeting with urgency.

ANJ have been transparent from the start, and under normal circumstances during the cease acceptance period ANJ have had the opportunity to clear the backlog that then allows us to begin receiving and servicing BMSB. However with the new methodology and this restriction in place ANJ remain 2 weeks behind schedule and have no choice but to cease acceptance of all BMSB fumigation until further notice.

All other container service types, including BMSB Unpacks are OK and will be serviced without delay. This notice is strictly for BMSB fumigation only.

ANJ will continue to keep in contact and will provide updates on our progress with DAWR when further information is available.

We thank you for the support, patience and understanding during this period, and we look forward to servicing our valued clients again in the near future.

Kind Regards,

Matt Watson
